Have you wondered what the best of horror in short films are? The honest truth is that there aren’t many. Filmmaker Alex Bram is looking to change that with his second annual Carnival of Darkness Film Festival. He’s been looking for the most promising new voices in horror and it looks like we’ve found this year’s line up! The festival takes place at the LA Film School this Thursday, October 28th.
“Invocation”, a live electric cello performance by Tina Guo, will kick things off at 7:30 pm. Arriving fans will travel through a twisted art gallery and lobby filled with horror collectibles, DVD’s, posters, music, t-shirts and comics relating to the genre. The horror shorts film screening will begin at 8:00 pm, followed by a filmmakers panel and awards ceremony.
Director Paul Solet (GRACE), Writer/Producer Jeffrey Reddick (FINAL DESTINATION), Director Alex Ferrari (RED PRINCESS BLUES), Director Richard Gale(CRITICIZED) and Writer//Producer Trent Haaga (DEADGIRL) will be featuring their judging skills at this year’s panel.
The following films will also be featured at this year’s festival: 8 BUTTERFLIES, SILENT CITY, PARADOX, RED PRINCESS, SIMONE, DEATH IN CHARGE, SOLATRIUM, THIRD SHIFT, SCREAMQUEEN, CRITICIZED, POLYDEUS.
