Carla Gugino snags lead role in Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House series

One of the top horror TV shows I'm looking forward to the most is Mike Flanagan's upcoming Netflix series based on Shirley Jackson's THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE.

Flanagan as most of you know is one of the top current horror directors after helming ABSENTIA, OCULUS, and my personal favorite HUSH – and that's only naming a few of his genre credits! One of the other films the man has in the works is the Netflix adaptation of Stephen King's "unfilmable" novel GERALD'S GAME starring the lovely Carla Gugino.

Well, the two must have hit it off big during the filming of GERALD'S GAME because Gugino and Flanagan will be joining forces yet again on THE HAUNTING series for Netflix! No character information is being revealed, unfortunately.

The series is set to be 10-episodes long and Gunigo is joining the currently cast Michel Huisman in "untitled" horror-drama series from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV and Paramount TV.

This new version is said to "draw from the original classic ghost story while expanding on the mythology of the Crane family."

What do you think of THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE Netflix series thus far? Make sure to hit us up on social media and let us know what you think on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE is written and directed by Mike Flanagan, who is executive producing alongside Trevor Macy, and Amblin TV’s Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.
