Captured brings sex, rock ‘n roll, and death to January

It has been a long road to release for director Joe Arias's feature debut CAPTURED – in fact, going by the film's official Facebook page it appears that production took place in 2012. Well, if you were intrigued by CAPTURED back in the day we have some very good news to share now: Green Apple Entertainment has announced that they are giving the film a January 1, 2020 release.

CAPTURED has the following synopsis:

A weekend getaway to shoot a music video turns into a nightmare for a rock’n roll band when they become the crazed obsession of an escaped convict that is purposely targeting the female lead of the band. Guitars and axes will clash as the prisoner becomes obsessed with their music. He wants to silence it forever!

As the band departs home in an old decrepit van, packed in with all their instruments and dreams, friendships and lives are about to be savaged by an unsuspected betrayal. There are some people you don’t want to piss off during childhood, they might come back. But with a lot more baggage.

Arias wrote the screenplay with Michael Meinecke and J.P. Ouellette.

The film stars Kirsten Prout, Brittany Curran, Jasper Cole, Julian Curtis, Jake White, Mike Randy, and Christian Monzon.

CAPTURED was produced by Ouellette, along with Charles Arthur Berg, Maxx Fisher, and Dylan Matlock. Ewan Bourne, Paul Emami, Jeff Jeffers, Scott Stoltz, Nicolas Veinberg, and Jake White served as executive producers.

The trailer for CAPTURED can be seen above, and I'm glad for Arias that his movie is finally making its way out into the world. Seven years between production and release is a long time to wait.
