Cannibalistic old ladies strike again in Rabid Grannies II: Ravenshore

Writer/director Emmanuel Kervyn's 1988 film RABID GRANNIES is one of the best-selling movies to come out of Belgium and became one of the most popular titles in the catalogue of U.S. distributor Troma. Now that we've gone decades with only one RABID GRANNIES movie to enjoy, writer/director/producer Johan Vandewoestijne has stepped up to continue Kervyn's story with RABID GRANNIES II: RAVENSHORE.

Surprisingly, Troma isn't the U.S. distributor for this one. SGL Entertainment is the company that will be bringing RAVENSHORE to Blu-ray, DVD, Cable TV, and VOD.

In case you're not familiar with the story of RABID GRANNIES, this synopsis for part 2 is kind enough to catch you up on it:

Elizabeth and Victoria Remington are two elderly ladies. Both are living in a castle and are very rich. As every year they give a birthday party for their family members. Each year they are all present. Not because they like the grannies so much or each other, but simply because they want to make sure they remain candidate for the heritage. One person isn’t invited, cousin Christopher, the black sheep of the family, in jail for conducting a black mass on a London graveyard. However when everyone is at the dinner table a parcel is delivered for the grannies. It contains two demons that take possession of the grannies so they become monsters, hunting down the family members.

Ravenshore is the long awaited sequel and the story begins 30 years later. Christopher remained the sole heir of the family fortune and name, and Christopher suddenly becomes a very wealthy man. There is only one condition to it all, he has to take care of the grannies graves for the term of his natural life.

The sequel stars Ignace Paepe.

SGL Entertainment and their partners MVD Visual and Premiere Digital will be releasing RABID GRANNIES II: RAVENSHORE in the U.S. and Canada sometime in 2019.

A teaser trailer for RAVENSHORE can be seen below. Much like the synopsis, this teaser is mainly focused on the events of the first RABID GRANNIES.
