I’m allowed to say that I saw HANNA last night. Beyond that, I’m not allowed to say much else as I’m embargoed until closer to the film’s release date. It’s fair to say though that any early comparisons between Hanna and KICK-ASS’ Hit Girl are tenuous at best. This film isn’t trying to emulate that film or that character in any way, shape or form.
There are a few examples in the film of Joe Wright’s signature filmmaking style, one involving a long, continuous shot of Eric Bana and some ruffians in a bus station and the other is this clip below. In this clip, we see Hanna escape from the custody of the CIA. To say more about the context would be criminal but I’ll say that this scene is only the tip of the iceberg.
Check out the brand new clip below and underneath a gallery of new stills from the film. HANNA hits theaters on April 8th.
