Attention Campers! Welcome to Camp Clear Vista! If this is your first year with us, allow me to share with you a few ground rules that will help us all have a safe and fun-filled time this Summer. First, no sneaking food into your cabin after dark unless you can store it in a sealed container. We do have bears in these woods, and they're not of the picnic basket stealing variety, I assure you. Second, we have plenty of toilet paper in storage. Please do not wipe your ass with any leaves that have red speckles on them. That is poison sumac. If you use that on any part of your body you're going to have a bad time. Lastly, we use a buddy system here when venturing out at night. You might have heard that there's a masked killer roaming the grounds. The thought of that is preposterous, but in the interest of caution, we insist that you partner up with someone when wandering around after dark. Okay! Who's ready to get their bunk assignments and have some fun?
Today, Falko Ink. and Screen Media have dropped a bloody new trailer for YOU MIGHT BE THE KILLER, a new slasher that's available via On Demand and Digital HD as of today! Directed by Brett Simmons from a script he co-wrote with Corvis Berzoyne and Thomas P. Vitale, the upcoming FRIDAY THE 13th lite horror feature stars Fran Kranz (CABIN IN THE WOODS, THE VILAGE, THE DARK TOWER), Alyson Hannigan (HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, AMERICAN PIE franchise, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER series) and Brittany S. Hall (NAPPILY EVER AFTER, BALLERS, SATISFACTION).
Here's the official log-line for the movie:
As Sam flees from a masked killer at camp, it slowly dawns on him that HE might be the killer. With the help of his film buff friend Chuck, Sam navigates through horror movie tropes to try and make it out of this plot alive.
Juding from the trailer, YOU MIGHT BE THE KILLER strikes me as FRIDAY THE 13th with perhaps a FIGHT CLUB twist. If you watch till the end of the trailer, Hannigan's Chuck suggests that Fran's Sam might actually be the one offing camp counselors. Now, I don't know why you would give that part away in your very Grindhouse-inspired trailer, but perhaps there's even more than meets the eye to this intriguing genre satire.
The good news is that you can find out who the killer is right now, as YOU MIGHT BE THE KILLER is now available to watch via On Demand and Digital HD.
