It was over two years ago when we had first heard that a new Cameron Crowe‘s romantic comedy was on its way. The then untitled film said to be set for a Christmas Day release but was moved to May of this year. Now today, the Hawaii-set film received an official title, ALOHA. Fitting don’t you think? While this isn’t anything major in terms of news, it does serve as a reminder that there’s a new Cameron Crowe movie coming out this year and if you’re a fan like me you will be pretty happy about that.
The synopsis goes:
A celebrated military contractor returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs and re-connects with a long-ago love while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog assigned to him.
Bradley Cooper stars as the defense contractor overseeing a weapons satellite launch from Hawaii and Emma Stone is the Air Force pilot he (understandably) falls for. The cast also includes Bill Murray, Alec Baldwin, Rachel McAdams, John Krasinski, Jay Baruchel, and Danny McBride. Also opening the same weekend is SAN ANDREAS starring Dwayne Johnson.
ALOHA opens May 29, 2015.
Which movie has the best chance that weekend, the movie starring Cooper who just took a third straight box office win with AMERICAN SNIPER or The Rock, who sports everyone’s favorite eyebrows?
