Comic-Con has begun. Big, important, geeky news is starting to spill out over the web, covering the everything in an ooze that smells vaguely of Cheetos and diet soda. Who knows what we’ll learn in the next few days?
Here’s a good start: There’s a Knott’s Berry Farm movie coming, motherf*ckers! Yeah!
Alright, honestly, I’ve never even been to Knott’s Berry Farm, don’t know anything about it, nor something called Calico Ghost Town, which I guess is a featured attraction at the park, and will be the setting for the flick. It sounds like their version of The Haunted Mansion, only with cowboys instead of Eddie Murphy.
Here’s Variety’s description of the potential plot: Story’s set in the Wild West at the turn of the century, centering on the boomtown gold mining town of Calico, which has been overrun by ghosts and evil supernatural creatures.
Documentary filmmaker James Moll, an Oscar-winner for his 1998 Holocaust documentary (?!) THE LAST DAYS will be producing with his Allentown Productions. A writer and director have yet to be chosen.
