Burt Reynolds plays an aging actor in The Last Movie Star trailer

In THE LAST MOVIE STAR, Burt Reynolds plays Vic Edwards, a Hollywood star who moved from college football legend to stunt double to a popular leading man, but in the twilight of his years, Edwards has found that his star has faded considerable. After being convinced to accept a lifetime achievement award from the International Nashville Film Festival by his friend Sonny (Chevy Chase), who tells him that the previous recipients included Clint Eastwood, Robert De Niro, and Jack Nicholson, Edwards heads out to Nashville only to find that the "festival" isn't quite the Hollywood shindig he was expecting. As his reluctant driver Lil (Ariel Winter) tells him, he's the only one who was actually stupid enough to show up to receive the award, but Edwards uses the opportunity to explore his old hometown in a journey of self discovery.

THE LAST MOVIE STAR will open in select theaters on March 30, 2018.
