On the heels of star Emma Roberts' announcement that SCREAM QUEENS will be premiering on Fox September 22nd comes the news that Charisma Carpenter been cast in a guest starring role that has the potential to become a recurring one.
Television horror is familiar territory for Carpenter, who is best known for playing Cordelia Chase on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and its spin-off ANGEL.
I always enjoyed Carpenter's performance on those shows, so I'm looking forward to seeing her mix it up with the cast of SCREAM QUEENS, which also includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Oliver Hudson, Abigail Breslin, and Ariana Grande. She will be playing the mother of Grande's character.
Created by AMERICAN HORROR STORY masterminds Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, along with their GLEE co-creator Ian Brennan, the first season of SCREAM QUEENS has the following synopsis:
After a 1995 sorority pledge gone wrong, someone is out for vengeance when a college campus is rattled by a series of murders at the twentieth anniversary of the crime.
