Bryan Singer tweets an image of another mutant with a dirty jacket from the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past

Earlier in the week director Bryan Singer tweeted an image of Patrick Stewart in his Xavier outfit to announce that filming had officially started for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. I think most of us didn’t think we’d get to see Mr. Stewart as Professor X again but I’m glad he’s back and I was damn excited to see the first image of him.

Yesterday Bryan Singer tweeted another set picture involving a familiar face. This time it’s Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) that we get to welcome back. Go ahead and say hello!

If you remember (or not because you tried to wipe X-MEN: THE LAST STAND from your memory with hard liquor and bath salts) Ashmore went “full ice” in his last appearance in the franchise and I wonder if he’ll spend more time in his ice form for this movie. Look at him though: he’s all grown up! With the beard he almost looks like Dominic Monaghan. Just to compare here’s an image of Shawn Ashmore from the last movie.

It was mentioned in the Strikeback for the article about Bryan Singer‘s last tweet that Patrick Stewart‘s jacket looked awfully dirty in the image and if you look closely Shawn Ashmore‘s jacket looks a little grody too. Looks like things aren’t going too well in the future for these mutants. Or it’s just really hard to find a good dry cleaner in the future.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is out July 18th, 2014.
