It was only yesterday that we shared some Bryan Fuller-related news with his quote about saying, "ALIEN: COVENANT was like a bad FRIDAY THE 13TH sequel" and today we have news on one of Fuller's best and brightest creations, the HANNIBAL TV series!
The last we heard about the series was that Fuller and co. wanted to make a miniseries out of the Tom Harris novel THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and all of us Hannibal fans – movies and/or TV shows – had a collective heart attack.
But that hasn’t happened. Yet.
That said, the other day, Fuller was a guest on my favorite horror podcast Mick Garris' POST MORTEM and let slip some new info on a possible fourth season in the further adventures of the cannibal animal.
Bryan Fuller on HANNIBAL Season 4:
I have conversations with (Hannibal executive producer) Martha De Laurentiis, Mads, and Hugh. We’re are all excited about the prospect of returning to the story. There are some hurdles to get through… [But] I just had a great idea for season 4. There’s an interesting next chapter in the relationship between Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter that would be fascinating to unpack. I’ve shared it with the gentlemen and they’re both keen on it.
Now this is by no means confirmation that there will be a fourth season of HANNIBAL, but as loved as the show was and has become in the years since it first began to air, I have no doubt that someone, whether Netflix or Shudder or Showtime – will pick the series back up at some point.
But maybe that's just me being a blind horror optimist.
One way or the other we here at AITH will continue to keep you guys up to date on ANY news regarding a possible fourth season of HANNIBAL so let us know what you thought of the series or this news on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
