Spoiler: Bryan Cranston says “never say never” to the return of Walter White

Bryan Cranston solidified his career with BREAKING BAD. The actor had a deep filmography prior to the AMC drama series, but it was his performance as Walter White will go down in history as one of the best acting jobs of all time. But, BREAKING BAD ended it's run last year with one of the best series finales of all time. But, as those who have seen the final scene know, it also was a pretty final finale. Or, was it?

Stoking the exact type of thing the Internet thrives on, Cranston made comments during a recent interview with CNN that could be construed in many different ways. Host Ashliegh Banfield specifically called out the closing scene of the series that appears to show Walter White dying on the floor of a meth lab as police surround his body. Cranston confirms Banfield's comment that we do not see a body bag and even says "I don't know" when she asks if the character died. Then things get really interesting.

Banfield: “No movie? No nothing? No Walter White ever again?”

Cranston: “Never say never."

With the spin-off prequel BETTER CAUL SAUL set to air in the Fall, Cranston could be truthfully hinting that we may see the man who would become Heisenberg once again, but he could also just be playing along for fun. Cranston was rumored as a potential Lex Luthor and just starred in GODZILLA for director Gareth Edwards. While seeing him as Walter White would be awesome, I would rather let the series be where it is. We don’t need everything tied up with a bow to make for a good ending.
