What is it they used to say about Reese's peanut butter cups? Chocolate and peanut butter. Two great tastes that taste great together. That's it. And speaking of which, today we have a killer new series of Mountain Dew commercials (yes, you read that right) that combines the two great tastes of Stanley Kubrick's maniacal masterpiece THE SHINING with the one and only Bryan Cranston of BREAKING BAD. Check them out below!
For the record, director Mike Flanagan's Stephen King adaptation DOCTOR SLEEP hits 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD next month.
Still irrevocably scarred by the trauma he endured as a child at the Overlook, Dan Torrance has fought to find some semblance of peace. But that peace is shattered when he encounters Abra, a courageous teenager with her own powerful extrasensory gift, known as the “shine.” Instinctively recognizing that Dan shares her power, Abra has sought him out, desperate for his help against the merciless Rose the Hat and her followers, The True Knot, who feed off the shine of innocents in their quest for immortality. Forming an unlikely alliance, Dan and Abra engage in a brutal life-or-death battle with Rose. Abra’s innocence and fearless embrace of her shine compel Dan to call upon his own powers as never before — at once facing his fears and reawakening the ghosts of the past.
The flick stars Ewan McGregor as adult Dan Torrance, Rebecca Ferguson as Rose the Hat, Kyleigh Curran as Abra Stone, and Carl Lumbly as Dick Halloran. Alex Essoe and Jocelin Donahue co-star. It hits 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on February 4, 2020. Have YOU seen DOCTOR SLEEP yet? What did you think? Let us know below! It's rated R for "disturbing and violent content, some bloody images, language, nudity and drug use."
