Last week we not only learned that Darren Lynn Bousman's thriller ABATTOIR was alive and well, but it has the cast to back it up. Now, on the heels of that news is word that J. LaRose (pictured) and “Mad Men” star Bryan Batt have also joined the ranks. They will star alongside the previously announced Joe Anderson, Dayton Callie and Jessica Lowndes. The idea of "creating" a haunted house from rooms where terrible tragedies have occured is certainly an intriging one, that's for sure. Hopefully we'll have more on this one soon!
Bousman is directing from a script by David Schow, Teddy Tenenbaum and Christopher Monfette. It goes like this:
The film centers on a real estate reporter who unearths an urban legend about a house being built from rooms where horrific tragedies have occurred. The investigation ultimately leads to the enigmatic Jebediah Crone and the answer to the terrifying question, “How do you build a haunted house?”
Jesse Berger is producing. Production is currently underway in New Orleans.
