Oi lads and lassies, I would advise you to pour yourself a flask of courage and polish up your most hard-hitting brass knuckles, because this trailer for Sky Atlantic's GANGS OF LONDON is about to knock you on your ass and not apologize for the trouble.
From THE RAID director Gareth Evans comes a brutal new show that places viewers at the center of a blood-soaked and fictional London, where a band of international gangs have waged war against one another for control over Queen and country. As you can see from the trailer posted above, GANGS OF LONDON is armed to the teeth with Evans' signature stylized action, an element that promises to raise the bar for brutality among television series. In addition to Evans spearheading the series, Corin Hardy and Xavier Gens also directed episodes of the nine-parter.
Here's the official synopsis for GANGS OF LONDON:
When the head of a criminal organisation, Finn Wallace (Colm Meaney) is assassinated, the sudden power vacuum his death creates threatens the fragile peace between the intricate web of gangs operating on the streets of the city. Now it’s up to the grieving, volatile and impulsive Sean Wallace (Joe Cole) to restore control and find those responsible for killing his father.
Joe Cole leads the cast which also features Sope Dirisu, Colm Meaney, Lucian Msamati and Michelle Farley. The show will launch on Sky Atlantic and TV streaming service Now TV later this year, with plans for a U.S. rollout forthcoming.
