Director Jason DeVan's ALONG CAME THE DEVIL (which was originally titled TELL ME YOUR NAME and isn't to be confused with Adrian Garcia Bogliano's HERE COMES THE DEVIL) is getting a theatrical, VOD, and Digital HD release on August 10th, and a week ahead of the release we have gotten our hands on an EXCLUSIVE clip from the film.

Inspired by true events and written by Jason DeVan, Heather DeVan (who also appears in the film), and Dylan Matlock, ALONG CAME THE DEVIL stars Sydney Sweeney, Jessica Barth, Madison Lintz, Matt Dallas, and Bruce Davison.

The story begins when

Ashley (Sweeney) is sent to live with her estranged Aunt Tanya (Barth). While in her old hometown she has visions of her deceased mom, driving her to contact the spirit world. Ashley unknowingly unearths a demonic force, which leaves her loved ones fighting for her soul.

When a demonic force is unearthed, an exorcism often follows, and in the clip below you can see Davison, the original WILLARD himself, performing an exorcism. It goes pretty much how you would expect an exorcism to go, with the demon informing the priest that the person they're possessing isn't there, then dropping some vulgarity, including a word that brings to mind an unforgettable quote from THE EXORCIST. The priest is called a "c-sucker", and the C word there isn't "candy".

If you dig possession / exorcism films, watch for ALONG CAME THE DEVIL next Friday.
