Altitude Film Entertainment, the newly formed UK production company we last told you about in May, is moving forward with a handful of ambitious projects.
The first, an adaptation of John Niven’s KILL YOUR FRIENDS (which was first mentioned in that previous article) has just attracted a lead actor in the form of Rafe Spall (PROMETHEUS). Spall will play Steven Stelfox, an A&R man who is slashing and burning his way through the music industry, taking the notion of cutthroat business practices to murderous new levels in a desperate attempt to salvage his career.
Owen Harris directs KILL YOUR FRIENDS, with filming expected to begin in the spring.
Next up for Altitude is OUTPOST 37, which is being directed by VFX supervisor Jabbar Raisani, who has worked on several movies with Robert Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios. OUTPOST 37 follows a documentary crew accompanying an elite unit of marines tasked with protecting mankind in the aftermath of an alien invasion.
Finally, Altitude will handle international sales for Occupant Entertainment’s THE GOOD PEOPLE, the feature debut of shorts and music video helmer Corin Hardy. Scripted by Hardy and Olga Barreneche, THE GOOD PEOPLE follows a molecular gene scientist who moves his family to the Irish countryside, where they are attacked by demonic creatures.
We’ll keep you updated on all of these nifty-sounding projects.
