Grab your tinfoil hat and fry up some spicy, mustard-covered corn dogs, because Brett Gelman's fan-favorite character, Murray Bauman, is about to become a key player for the fourth season of Netflix's STRANGER THINGS.
Word has come down the wire via HAM radio that Gelman's lovable journalist-turned-conspiracy theorist has been upped to a series regular for the next exciting installment of STRANGER THINGS. Gelman, who stars as Martin for Amazon's original series FLEABAG, is living his best life right now, after being nominated for two SAG cast ensemble awards this past January for both FLEABAG and STRANGER THINGS.
In STRANGER THINGS, Gelman's kooky conspiracy savant, Murray Bauman, steals nearly every scene he's in. The low-key, bunker-living logician was introduced in Season 2, and became a larger part of the STRANGER THINGS narrative in Season 3. Now it would appear as if Netflix is ready to give fans more of a great thing by featuring his character in a larger capacity. Personally, Bauman always puts a smile on my face whenever he enters the frame, and I'd love to see him play a more significant role in the events to come. That said, you better not Bob Newby him in the upcoming season, Netflix! My fragile heart can't take another lose of that magnitude.
Additionally, now that the gears are in motion for STRANGER THINGS Season 4, representatives from the show have begun posting some behind-the-scenes antics via Twitter.
Behold!
STRANGER THINGS Season 4 will premiere on Netflix later this year.
