If you're a big Trailer Park Boys fan like me, then this will probably be the best news you'll read all day. Netflix has announced they will stream two brand new seasons of the Canadian television series. The show originally aired on Showcase for seven seasons, and a 10 episode eighth season will be available on Netflix starting this fall, followed by a ninth season. The previous seven seasons are currently streaming on Netflix, but starting March 31st they will also be available for fans living in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, the Nordics and Latin America, which will be a first.
Besides two new seasons, additional content featuring the gang from Sunnyvale Trailer Parks will also be released on Netflix soon, including the new features TRAILER PARK BOYS 3: DON'T LEGALIZE IT and SWEARNET.
Can I get a Phil Collins "Baaaaam!" for this news? Those unfamiliar with Trailer Park Boys might not understand what the fuss is all about, but personally I think it's one of the funniest television shows ever. The series follows the adventures of three friends (Ricky, Bubbles and Julian) who live in a trailer park and spend most of their time attempting to get rich from selling weed/hash, and trying to avoid Trailer Park Supervisor Jim Lahey and his assistant, Randy.
Seriously if you haven't seen Trailer Park Boys, you need to watch it immediately, if only for Jim Lahey's amazing shit metaphors (see below). You won't be disappointed.
