It’s already been 6 years since THE ITALIAN JOB came out, and just as long since talk of a sequel started out. Everyone on that film’s been quite vague when asked about it, to a point where interest and potential are getting pretty much thin.
The folks of Coming Soon went straight to the source to find out, talking to director F. Gary Gray during his promo for LAW ABIDING CITIZEN. What he has to say kind of echoes what was said before: Definitely, Maybe.
“I think it’s really just about getting the material in the right place. The energy is being put into developing a script that is just as good, if not better, than the first,” the man expressed. “I loved directing that movie. It was a lot of fun, and I think people would want to hang out with that crew again and go on another ride, definitely.”
The actors all said the same, that they’d love to do it, but also all went to bigger and better things. Would it even be possible to get those people back in one place? Do we still care to begin with?
