Bradley Cooper in talks to star in Paul Thomas Anderson’s next feature

Word has come down the wire that Bradley Cooper and Paul Thomas Anderson are joining forces for the director's next feature-length effort.

Though the film remains untitled at this time, reports indicate that Anderson's next will be a coming-of-age drama set in the 1970s San Fernando Valley. While plot details are thinner than Adam Sandler's tolerance for bullies in PUNCH DRUNK LOVE, it's been said that the movie will feature multiple storylines revolving around a kid actor attending high school in the Valley.

Anderson wrote and will produce the film through his Ghoulardi Film Company studio, alongside Sarah Murphy.

Originally, the project was set up over at MGM but has since been moved to Focus Features. Furthermore, production was expected to begin in the spring/summer of this year, though the COVID-19 shutdown put the kibosh on that real quick. This being the case, Anderson's next film is now aiming for a fall start, depending on how shooting locations continue to shape up in Los Angeles.
