Brad Bird’s 1952 is now titled Tomorrowland, George Clooney confirmed to star

Well, the mystery is beginning to unravel. Brad Bird‘s mysterious project 1952 has now been given a new title: TOMORROWLAND.

Entertainment Weekly unveiled the new title which does not explain much more about the mystery box we brought you last week. What we do know is that this will absolutely have Disney ramifications, as alluded to by the photo of Walt Disney in the box. This quashes the rumors that Brad Bird was actually making a new version of BUCK ROGERS, but not much else.

TOMORROWLAND will star George Clooney and is coming from a script by Damon Lindelof and Jeff Jensen. Rumors abounded for a long time that this would be a multi-faceted franchise launch and with a star as big as Clooney, this could be huge. But, what is it? A Walt biopic? The long in development MAGIC KINGDOM movie? Who knows?

All I know is that in the hands of Brad Bird, I trust.

TOMORROWLAND will open on December 19, 2014.
