As a fan who was anxiously waiting for FREDDY VS. JASON to be made, looking for updates on the project throughout the '90s and into the '00s, I have always been fascinated by the troubled development process the film went through. I have read as many of the rejected scripts as I could get my hands on, and have been surprised at how far off the mark they were. Who would have ever guessed that the idea of getting Freddy and Jason into the same location so they could have a brawl could be so hard to figure out, or that so many people would go so far in overthinking it? The finished film has its issues, but the basic story was definitely the best take on the concept that had ever been presented to New Line Cinema.

Several of the rejected scripts aren't available for fans to read, so the descriptions of them that can be found in SLASH OF THE TITANS are very interesting to me. This book is a must-own as far as I'm concerned.
