Blumhouse is producing a reboot of THE INVISIBLE MAN along with SAW and INSIDIOUS writer Leigh Whannell with Elisabeth Moss set as the film's star and THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE star Oliver Jackson-Cohen playing the title role. And today we have word via Whannell over on Twitter that filming has begun in Sidney, Australia. The flick costars Aldis Hodge, Harriet Dyer, and Storm Reid.
It turns out this new take on the classic story will follow Elisabeth Moss as a woman who begins to suspect her recently deceased abusive ex-boyfriend might still be lurking around. More specifically, the Leigh Whannell-directed movie follows
Cecilia (Moss), who receives the news of her abusive ex-boyfriend’s suicide, and begins to rebuild her life for the better, but her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her deceased lover is not actually dead.
Blumhouse's THE INVISIBLE MAN is written and directed by Leigh Whannell who is also executive producing. Jason Blum produces with Kylie du Fresne for Goalpost Pictures in association with Nervous Tick, for Universal Pictures. THE INVISIBLE MAN is set to reach theatres on March 13, 2020.
