The horror production company Blumhouse is always on the prowl for new audiences and new media landscapes with which to bring the screams. Whether or not you're into their actual content, you gotta respect their dedication to bringing bloody content to every corner of pop culture. Their latest online venture, in association with YouTube Red is the half hour holiday horror-comedy anthology 12 Deadly Days, which will premiere on December 12th.
Created by Chris Cullari and Jennifer Raite, 12 Deadly Days:
is set in the cursed town of Saturn, CA, during the 12 days leading up to Christmas. Over the course of a dozen interconnected tales, the town’s residents find themselves terrorized by everything from killer carolers and lovelorn vampires to cursed fruitcakes and haunted Christmas trees.
The series will star Betty Gabriel (THE PURGE: ELECTION YEAR), Kaitlin Doubleday (Empire), Dohn Norwood (Hell on Wheels), Tom Lenk (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and a cornucopia of YouTube personalities: Anna Akana, Burnie Burns, Timothy DeLaGhetto, Brittany Furlan, Tre Melvin, Mikey Murphy, Eric Ochoa, Nikki Limo, Troy Pindell, Meghan Rienks, Jake Roper, and Alexis Zall.
Cullari and Raite are executive producing with Josh Miller, Pat Casey, and Dakota Pictures' Troy Miller.
