Last month we shared the news that director Tony Jopia's Christmas-themed creature feature CREATURES was making its way through post-production in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown. Now we've gotten our hands on a teaser trailer for the film, and it's embedded above.
Coming to us from Jopia Productions and Creatures Media LLC, CREATURES draws inspiration from the likes of NIGHT OF THE CREEPS, CRITTERS, DEAD HEAT, GHOULIES, THEY LIVE, and GREMLINS. The synopsis:
A group of astronomy students get more than they bargained for after finding an injured alien who is being targeted by a group of bloodthirsty alien creatures.
Romain Barbey, Jo Hart, Hephzibah Roe, Fina Saito, Zulekha Chaka, Joe Gallina, Cristo Fernández, Jack Frank, Andrew Greaves, Steve Aaron-Sipple, Chris Kyriacou, Derek Frood, and Sarah Frances star. Barbey is also the co-producer.
Producer Stu Jopia has said the movie is
for all the fans of '80s pint-sized creature feature movies. It really does have a bit of everything; action, comedy, sci-fi thrills, and tonnes of gore. A true love letter to movies that I grew up with."
It looks and sounds like this is going to be a fun one to watch. CREATURES is aiming for a festive theatrical and physical release this Christmas.
