We here at Arrow in the Head are anxiously waiting to hear distribution news on director Marcel Walz’s Pretty Boy, a follow-up to his “stylish, dreamy slasher” Blind (watch it HERE, read my review at THIS LINK) – but in the meantime, legendary effects artist Tom Savini has just caught up on Blind, and gave it a strong recommendation!
Savini said Blind is
an exercise in terror. The suspense is palpable. Sarah French is splendid.”
So take Savini’s word for it and go check out Blind!
Written by author Joe Knetter, Blind tells the following story:
Faye, a former actress that lost her vision due to botched laser eye surgery, struggles to put her life back together while living alone in her dream house in the Hollywood Hills. Supported by her friend Sophia, she starts opening up to Luke, a personal trainer who is mute and can only communicate through his cell phone. Faye will soon realize that she isn’t as alone as she thinks.
The film stars Sarah French, Jed Rowen, Tyler Gallant, Thomas Haley, Ben Kaplan, Jessica Galetti, Michael St. Michaels, and genre icon Caroline Williams, who worked with Savini on the classic Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.
Described as a “gloriously melodramatic suspense slasher”, the upcoming sequel Pretty Boy is about
a masked killer named Pretty Boy, who takes a blind woman from her home in the Hollywood hills and crashes a Valentine’s Day party where the bloodshed continues as he runs amok with his butcher knife. Expect disco lights, glitter, a killer soundtrack, and lots and lots of gore!
Pretty Boy was also written by Joe Knetter. French returns in the lead role, and her co-stars this time include Jed Rowen, Robert Felsted Jr., and Devanny Pinn.
We’ll let you know as soon as we hear of a release date for Pretty Boy.
