The Shudder streaming service regularly does something I wish other streamers, like Netflix, would do as well: release their original content on physical media. The latest example of this is writer/director Amelia Moses’s horror thriller Bleed With Me. The film was released as a Shudder Original last year, and now Shudder is teaming up with RLJE Films to give it a DVD and digital release on April 19th. In anticipation of this release, we’ve gotten our hands on a trailer for Bleed With Me, which you can see in the embed above.
Starring Lee Marshall (The Detectives), Lauren Beatty (Pay the Ghost), and Aris Tyros (In the Dark), Bleed With Me has the following synopsis:
Rowan, a vulnerable outsider, is thrilled when the seemingly perfect Emily invites her on a winter getaway to an isolated cabin in the woods, not knowing she has a taste for blood. Trust soon turns to paranoia when Rowan wakes up with mysterious incisions on her arm. Haunted by dream-like visions, Rowan starts to suspect that her friend is drugging her and stealing her blood. She’s paralyzed by the fear of losing Emily, but she must fight back before she loses her mind.
Bonus features on the DVD will include:
Initial Concept Footage
Behind-the-Scenes Photo Gallery
I haven’t watched Bleed With Me, but I’m glad it’s getting a DVD release in addition to its Shudder run nonetheless. If you have watched this movie, let us know what you thought about it by leaving a comment below. Will you be picking up a copy on DVD?
Moses and Beatty also worked together on the werewolf movie Bloodthirsty. You can see the trailer for that one at the bottom of this article.
