We've been keeping a close eye on Patricio Valladares' English-language remake of his Chilean horror film HIDDEN IN THE WOODS and today we have some news on the film straight from the just-concluded Cannes Film Market.
Blanc Biehn Productions announced in Cannes that a deal has been signed with investor Hackybox Pictures to produce HIDDEN IN THE WOODS, which is set to star Michael Biehn, Jeannine Kaspar, Electra Avelan and the great William Forsythe and is scheduled to begin filming in Houston Texas this July.
The film focuses on Ana and Anny, two sisters whom have been raised in isolation under the atrocity of drug dealing and the incestuous obsession of their grim father. When they, tired of the abuse, call the police, he kills two officers and is put in jail. Free from their father, the girls now will have to escape from Tío Costello, the local drug lord trying to recover a large amount of drugs hidden in the woods.
Mark Burnham, Jennifer Blanc, Richard Gunn, Caitlin Keats, Matthew Alan, Mark Gantt, Cheryl Hawker, Greg Ingram, Evie Louise Thompson, Grace Powell, Larry Carroll, Nick Nicholson, Jeremy JD Norton, Rebecca Torellas, Nick Bateman, Cody Hackman, and Luke Massy make up the impressive cast.
