When Nancy (Blake Lively) is attacked by a great white shark while surfing alone, she is stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of wills. The latest trailer for THE SHALLOWS shows you how bleak her situation is, but this trailer is much more spoilery than the last, so watch at your own risk!

Even if the events look a little JAWS-y towards the end, I'm always down for a shark thriller! I don't care what the statistics say, these guys are always hungry for human flesh (mine, specifically) and are the number one reason why you won't see me in the ocean most of the time. The rest of the time it's because I'm lazy, but that's beside the point. Here's hoping Blake Lively shows that shark what you get for messing with us, or at the very least, befriends it and rides it off into the sunset.
