It's time to break out your Awards Ballot Bingo cards, folks, because the nominees for the Producers Guild Awards have been announced! If you've got any spaces labeled with the following films: BLACK PANTHER, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, CRAZY RICH ASIANS, THE FAVOURITE, GREEN BOOK, A QUIET PLACE, ROMA, A STAR IS BORN, or VICE, smash that dabber down and give yourself some points.
Alongside the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures noms, the PGA also announced the organization's nominees for nine television categories, with THE AMERICANS, BETTER CALL SAUL, THE HANDMAID'S TALE, OZARK, and THIS IS US each receiving nods for the Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television – Drama category.
The Producers Guild Awards, which uses a preferential balloting system to collect and tabulate its votes, will reveal its winners on January 19th during the 30th Annual Producers Guild Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. In the past, the PGA ceremony has proven itself to be a useful tool when previewing films that are expected to dominate the Oscar ballot. For those of you who enjoy Oscar parties, this is the show to watch if you hope to gain an edge over your friends for the event's annual Oscar pool. They'll be all like, "How did you guess so many?" And then you can tell them, "I paid attention to the PGAs, now pony up, bitches!"
