Black Adam: we interview Dwayne Johnson, the JSA and more!

Last Updated on October 20, 2022

Black Adam is finally here. The latest from DC is a fast-paced, funny, and visually impressive superhero tale. And it also happens to be a character Dwayne Johnson holds near and dear to his heart. So much so that watching the actor front and center is always a treat. The wonder duo of Noah Centineo and Quintessa Swindell also bring heart, humor, and charm every moment they are on-screen. The impressive cast also extends to Viola Davis, Sarah Shahi, Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, and Muhammed Amer. The Jaume Collet-Serra directed feature opens in theatres this Friday, bringing a few cheers to your local theatre-going experience.

We recently joined up for the press day for the upcoming adventure, and it was a treat. And what made this one special? It was an in-person opportunity, and lovely to speak to Black Adam‘s amiable cast. First up, we spoke with Sarah Shahi and Mohammed Amer. The two opened up about working with Johnson and creating these charismatic characters. And speaking of charisma, you can’t get much more of that than from Aldis Hodge and Pierce Brosnan. The two discussed their on-screen chemistry and how they fit into the DC universe.

Next up, it was an absolute treat speaking to both Noah Centineo and Quintessa Swindell. The two were so fantastic in the film that it was a joy to entertain in their wonderful performances. They talked about finding the influence, and Stevie Nicks came up in the conversation. I adored these two. I feel that both Atom Smasher and Cyclone will be very popular with audiences once fans finally see the film.

And finally, I sat down with the man himself, Dwayne Johnson. It’s funny, as big of a star as this man has become, once you sit and chat, it feels very comfortable. Even with a limited time to speak, the actor brings everything he can to the conversation. Hell, he even dropped an F-Bomb because, hey, if you are going to do that, why not do it on JoBlo? Mr. Johnson’s infectious passion and love for the character have brought us an energetic and entertaining new film. Check out Black Adam this Friday at a theatre near you.
