Well, this is something else. Below you'll find the bizarre, beautiful and not-safe-for-work trailer for TALE OF TALES, Matteo Garrone's adaptation of Giambattista Basile's book of dark fairy tales, “The Tale of Tales." It's hard to even say what's going on here, but it looks both bonkers and gorgeous – I mean, how else would you describe the sight of Salma Hayek eating a gigantic dragon's heart?
In addition to Salma, TALE OF TALES features an impressive cast including John C. Reilly, Vincent Cassel, Toby Jones, Stacy Martin, Shirley Henderson and Hayley Carmichael.
TALE OF TALES will open in Italy on May 14th before making its way to the Cannes Film Festival. It's scheduled to open in France on July 1st. Hopefully a U.S. distributor picks it up soon because I need to delve into this madness.
