Last month NBC revealed an October 25 premiere date for their upcoming take on "Dracula", a 10-episode season starring John Rhys Meyers as the titular bloodsucker. Today we have two new looks at the show: a still of Nonso Anozie in his role as Renfield, and a pic of Meyers and Victoria Smurfit enjoying some quality time between the sheets via EW.
It's the late 19th century, and the mysterious Dracula has arrived in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. He's especially interested in the new technology of electricity, which promises to brighten the night – useful for someone who avoids the sun. But he has another reason for his travels: he hopes to take revenge on those who cursed him with immortality centuries earlier. Everything seems to be going according to plan… until he becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.
Writer Daniel Knauf took to his Twitter account to offer fans their first look at Nonso Anozie as Renfield in the upcoming NBC series "Dracula", which you can peep below.
Entertainment Weekly provided the following still which shows the seductive side of Meyers' long-suffering vamp.
"Dracula" stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Jessica De Gouw, Thomas Kretschmann, Katie McGrath and Nonso Anozie. Other cast members include Victoria Smurfit as Lady Jayne Wetherby, Ben Miles as Mr. Browning, and Robert Bathurst as Lord Thomas Davenport. Look for "Dracula" on NBC this October.
