Birdemic 3: Sea Eagle trailer previews the next chapter in James Nguyen’s killer bird saga

A teaser trailer for writer/director James Nguyen’s new killer bird movie Birdemic 3: Sea Eagle has been released online, and you can check it out in the embed above. When Birdemic 3 started filming last year, Nguyen’s Moviehead Pictures proudly stated that the movie was being shot “using Black Magic Design Pocket Camera 6K Pro that shoots at 6K resolution and its output is Hollywood 35mm filmlook because it has a 35mm HDR sensor chip.” No matter how good the picture looks, I wasn’t expecting the special effects used to bring the killer birds to the screen to be very convincing. In the trailer above, we get a glimpse of exactly what the killer bird special effects are going to look like in Birdemic 3. Let us know what you think of these effects, and of the trailer as a whole, by leaving a comment below.

Nguyen’s 2010 film Birdemic: Shock and Terror (watch it HERE) has many fans who are drawn to it because of how awful it is. Some get a lot of entertainment out of its badness, but I have still never been able to sit through the whole movie. A sequel called Birdemic 2: The Resurrection (watch that HERE) followed a few years later, and I haven’t even tried to watch that one.

Birdemic 3: Sea Eagle will tell the following story:

A flock of sea eagles attack the coastal town of Santa Cruz, California.  Why did the birds attack?  Who will survive?

A crowdfunding campaign attempted to raise completion funds for Birdemic 3, but only 1% ($640) of the $50,000 goal was raised before the campaign came to an end. Birdemic 3 is still moving forward, though. According to the official Facebook page, the movie is going to be released sometime in the fall of 2022.
