You know how for a while there was a contingent of people online lobbying for Michael B. Jordan to be the next Superman? Or the group that wanted Idris Elba to be the next James Bond? Well, worlds are colliding as Grammy winning musical prodigy Billie Eilish has combined the chocolate and the peanut butter of rumors by dream-casting Jordan as Daniel Craig's successor.
Recently the haunted songtress popped by Capital FM to discuss her "No Time To Die" theme song for the next film in the James Bond franchise, and in the midst of fielding a few questions about her latest hit, was asked who should step in as the next James Bond. Without hesitation, Eilish repsonded by saying that CREED and BLACK PANTHER star Michael B. Jordan should suit up as the next 007 agent.
“I would say, honestly, Michael B Jordan would kill that shit,” Eilish said, adding that she'd enjoy hearing the actor speak smoothly with a British accent.
Eilish's Bond song, "No Time To Die," has already been released, with many critics hailing it as the best Bond-related theme in years. You can hear the sultry track that had been recorded in a bunk aboard Eilish's tour bus below:
Here's the official synopsis for NO TIME TO DIE:
Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
Penning the script for Bond's latest adventure are Neal Purvis & Robert Wade (SPECTRE, SKYFALL), Cary Joji Fukunaga, Scott Z. Burns (THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM) and and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (FLEABAG). In addition to Craig, NO TIME TO DIE also stars Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas, Rory Kinnear, David Dencik, Dali Benssalah with Jeffrey Wright and Ralph Fiennes.
Obviously, any dream-casting for the next Bond will arrive as controversial, but what do you think of Jordan as a candidate for the iconic superspy? Let us know your thoughts as well as who you'd pick to assume the role in the comments section below.
