Bill & Ted Face the Music, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine

Some most triumphant news related to BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC, the long-awaited third film in the Bill & Ted series, has been unveiled! Bust out your air guitar and get ready for something to be afoot at the Circle K, because Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving have been cast as the daughters of Bill and Ted, the time traveling duo who one day form the Wyld Stallyns, a band whose music will bring peace throughout the known galaxy.

According to reports, Lundy-Paine, who's starred in THE GLASS CASTLE and the TV series ATYPICAL, will arrive as Billie Logan, daughter of Ted "Theodore" Logan (Keanu Reeves). As for Weaving, who stole the show in McG's highly-underrated horror comedy THE BABYSITTER, she will play Thea Preston, the daughter Bill S. Preston (Alex Winter).

Here's the official synopsis for BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC:

When we last met Bill and Ted they were time-traveling teenagers trying to pass history class and win the battle of the bands. Once prophesized to save the universe with their rock and roll, middle age and the responsibilities of family have caught up with these two best friends who have not yet fulfilled their destiny. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, Bill and Ted find much, much more than just a song.

“When we saw Samara and Brigette together, it was like deja vu," producer Scott Kroopf said in a statement. "It was exactly the way we felt when we first saw Keanu and Alex. We are so thrilled to have this funny and unique pair join the Bill and Ted team!”

Original Bill & Ted creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon will return to the fan-favorite franchise to write the script for BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC, which sees Reeves, Winter, and William Sadler reprising their roles as Ted, Bill, and Death, respectively. The third (and perhaps final) film is once again produced by Scott Kroopf along with Alex Lebovici and Steve Ponce. Steven Soderbergh will be executive producing and is set to be joined by R. Scott Reid, John Ryan Jr., Scott Fischer, and John Santilli for the effort.

Station! There's a part of me that still can't believe that this film is really coming together. Long live the Wyld Stallyns, and may their next adventure be just as bodacious as their last two zany excursions.
