Bill Murray might join Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone in Cameron Crowe’s latest project

Bill Murray with Cameron Crowe…why hasn't this happened sooner? The Wrap is reporting Murray is in talks to join Crowe's next film, an untitled romantic comedy set in Hawaii that is an overhauled version of Crowe's old DEEP TIKI script. Bill Murray's role in the film is unknown at this time, and it sounds like the studio is being kind of "hush-hush" about his part.

Cameron Crowe has a fantastic cast lined up for his film, even if he doesn't end up nabbing Bill Murray. Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Alec Baldwin, Rachel McAdams and Danny McBride also star, and Jay Baruchel just joined the project over the weekend as Cooper's stepbrother.

Synopsis:

A defense contractor (Cooper) who is overseeing a weapons satellite launch from Hawaii teams up with (and falls for) an Air Force pilot (Stone) to scuttle the launch. Mystical island forces and a talking computer also play a part.

I've always been a Crowe fan, however I didn't particularly care for ELIZABETHTOWN and I thought WE BOUGHT A ZOO was just OK. But his next film sounds intriguing (Mystical island forces? A talking computer? Sold.) and the cast is very solid, so I'm very interested in seeing Cameron Crowe's latest.

Sony is looking to release Cameron Crowe's next film sometime in 2014.

And this is why Bill Murray is awesome:
