Today we got word that both Bill Moseley and John Kapelos have joined MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT, which is being directed by Eric Forsberg and written by Christopher M. Don and Katherine Bell. It's based on an original story by Don and it aims to give a rebirth to the slasher genre. Moseley will play the role of a psychotic killer called Gimple—nothing new there! Here's the real kicker though, Gimple is a painter that uses human blood for paintings to capture their souls. What shade of red are you using there, Gimple? I love the way it just brings this piece to life! John Kapelos, on the other hand, will star as Taso, a law enforcement park ranger who—as far as I can tell—does not paint with human blood because that shit just isn't normal!
On the cusp of New Year‘s Eve, seven friends and a mysterious backpacker converge at a desolate ski lodge in the mountains when they are systematically hunted down by ruthless masked men with a cryptic agenda.
When we last wrote about MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT Kane Hodder had signed on to portray the main villain Angus who's character is described as a legend that most people are afraid to speak of. Even whispers of his name sends chills down the spines of vacationers and the surrounding community. Twenty years ago, a series of fatalities struck a small community at a ski resort. Now, the murders are happening again. Angus, a victim of childhood bullying, is a grizzled man that remains camouflaged in the shadows and his natural surroundings until it’s time to strike. He’s a beast of a man. A force to be reckoned with. The camouflage and hunter’s attire that he wears is like a second skin to him. He vengefully stalks and hunts his prey like the trophies he keeps on his walls.
Together they join the previously announced cast of Richard Grieco and John Morrison. So far this one has all the makings of one hell of a nasty piece of horror cinema so we'll be sure to send more info your way once we get it!
