Bill Hader becomes T-1000 in Terminator 2 Cast Deepfake

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Over the past few years, we've seen DeepFake technology used to create some truly memorable (not to mention creepy) celebrity-swapped scenes from famous movies, such as Chris Pratt replacing Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland stepping into Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox's roles in BACK TO THE FUTURE, and Sylvester Stallone taking on Macaulay Culkin's Kevin McCallister in HOME ALONE.

The latest DeepFake video created by Ctrl Shift Face finds Bill Hader (Barry) taking on the role of the T-1000 in James Cameron's TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY. What a way to mix up the Terminator 2 cast! The role was originally played by Robert Patrick, and it's actually quite amazing how perfectly Hader's face fits the performance; you can almost imagine the video to be an extremely well-produced Saturday Night Live skit. Hader was most recently seen in IT: CHAPTER TWO as the grown-up Richie Tozier, and he's also set to return for the third season of Barry. The HBO series finds Hader starring as Barry Berkman, a hitman from Ohio who travels to Los Angeles to kill someone but finds himself joining an acting class taught by Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler), where he begins to question his path in life. Production on the third season of Barry was put on hold due to the COVID-19 shutdown, so it remains to be seen when the series will return.
