Beware the Night sets release date

For those of you who are excited to see SINISTER director Scott Derrickson's next film BEWARE THE NIGHT, I hope you're the patient type! Sony Screen Gems has slated the flick for a release on January 16, 2015 — damn!

Currently the film has Eric Bana (above), Edgar Ramirez and Olivia Munn (below) all set to star with more casting underway. BEWARE THE NIGHT was scripted by Derrickson along with Paul Harris Boardman and so far there's a lot to look forward to. The film has a unique premise that will blend supernatural elements with a gritty police story all backed by a very solid cast. We've got plenty of time to digest this one so stick around and we'll keep you all up to date!

The story is set in a paranormal world and follows a New York police officer investigating real life demon possessions, exorcisms and werewolves after dark. Bana plays an Irish Catholic cop working a case when he meets a renegade priest. Despite the cop’s beliefs, he’s convinced by the priest that there is a demonic element and together they work to solve the case and combat the paranormal forces working against them. Ramirez plays the priest. Munn plays the cop’s wife, who also has a tie to the case.
