Best Movie & TV Trailers of the Week: Halloween, The Favourite & more

Welcome, loyal JoBlo readers! This is Best Movie and TV Trailers of the Week, where we take the very best previews we saw over the long week and compile them all in one spot for you, just in case you were out and about navigating this mad, mad, mad world that is life. We’re nice like that.

This week we got several trailers for some of the most anticipated indie movies coming up, including THE BEACH BUM, AT ETERNITY’S GATE, ASSASSINATION NATION, WILDLIFE and THE FAVOURITE. The latter entered the Oscar race in a big way when it screened at the Venice Film Festival last week, and the new trailer showcased the brilliant performances from Emma Stone, Olivia Colman and Rachel Weisz. What has most people talking is the new trailer for the upcoming HALLOWEEN movie, which follows Michael Myers via an extended tracking shot as he kills on Halloween night. It’s a tense and terrifying look at what David Gordon Green brought to the horror franchise, and we have little reason to doubt this could be the best after the classic original.

As for the TV side of things we have a unique batch of footage ranging from teases to featurettes, including a brief bit for THE CONNERS that asks, “What’s next?” (like we don’t already know). Then we have teasers for NARCOS: MEXICO and the final season of HOUSE OF CARDS that reveals where Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) ended up after the conclusion of season five. Hint: it's not anywhere good.
