Ben Kingsley’s secret project for Marvel rumored to be a new One-Shot

Last week Ben Kingsley revealed he is working on a secret project for Marvel, and at the time there wasn't any details on what it could be. Latino-Review believes they know, and according to the site Kingsley will appear in a new One-Shot. But what will the short video be about, and why is Ben Kingsley involved? Latino-Review claims the new Marvel One-Shot will revolve around the real Mandarin being very angry with Aldrich Killian and Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley). Why is he pissed at them? For tarnishing his good name, of course.

According to sources, Marvel wants to make it up to fans so in the one shot, the REAL Mandarin is furious with Aldrich Killian and Ben Kingsley’s character Trevor Slattery for the mockery they made of the real Mandarin’s identity and legacy. The real Mandarin wants to set the record straight.

Yes, the REAL Mandarin.

How is he going to set the record straight? That I don’t know. Who is going to play the real Mandarin? Don’t know either. Wait and see.

Regardless of how you feel about the twist in IRON MAN 3, if you're a comic book fan this is great news. The Mandarin is a fantastic character and a big part of Iron Man's universe. Shane Black and Drew Pearce may have thought having Guy Pearce's Aldrich Killian as the mastermind behind the events in IRON MAN 3 was a good idea when they wrote the screenplay, but it essentially killed any future use of the Mandarin character. I think Marvel knows this too, and while Latino-Review's source may say the new One-Shot is for fans that didn't like the twist, I feel like the studio also wants to make sure they have every option available for their future films, including a "real" Mandarin.

But this news hasn't been confirmed by anyone, and you're going to have to take this with a big grain of salt until we hear something more solid on Marvel reintroducing The Mandarin.
