Whether you were a fan or not, Zack Snyder clearly had a vision for Warner Bros.' DCEU, but that vision was cut short when Snyder stepped down as director and the studio brought Joss Whedon in to write and direct a series of reshoots. The resulting film wasn't exactly met with universal praise, and little by little, Snyder's original vision for the project began to emerge, leading fans to demand that Warner Bros. #ReleasetheSnyderCut. Well, fans finally got their wish as it was revealed earlier this week that Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE would be coming to HBO Max in 2021.

Much of the JUSTICE LEAGUE cast weighed in on the news following the announcement, and Ben Affleck was no exception. The former Bruce Wayne/Batman actor made an appearance on Kevin Smith's Fatman Beyond and expressed his gratitude to the fans for keeping the SnyderCut movement alive.

I'll be honest, I never expected that Zack Snyder would get the opportunity to complete his vision; Warner Bros. clearly began to move away from Snyder's plan some time ago, and it just didn't make sense to suddenly release another version of JUSTICE LEAGUE. Well, I was wrong. As far as what form Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE will take, it's not yet known, but the studio is expected to throw somewhere between $20-$30 million to complete the project. "It will be an entirely new thing, and, especially talking to those who have seen the released movie, a new experience apart from that movie," Snyder said. "You probably saw one-fourth of what I did."
