Ben Affleck may have just confirmed that he is indeed co-writing the script for the solo Batman film with DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns.
Back in July it was reported that the actor is penning the next standalone Bat flick (which he may also direct) with Johns, and during an interview on DC All Access, Affleck said "Geoff Johns is a brilliant guy. I consider him to be the most valued resource on all things comic book. And every time I like something in a comic I mention, he goes, 'Oh yeah, I wrote that.' Now I just think he's bullsh*tting me, because he says he wrote everything. He and I are working together on something and I really am excited about it and I love him. He's the best."
That "something" is more than likely the previously announced untitled Batman movie. Although the project doesn't even have a release date yet, I think Warner Bros. and DC should really get the ball rolling on the solo film and capitalize on Affleck's well-received turn as The Dark Knight, since his performance is apparently one of the few bright spots in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. What would you like to see in the next Batman movie?
