Behold the trailer for American Gods Season 2

The second season of the Starz adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s AMERICAN GODS will unleash this March but it doesn't come without its share of drama. First original showrunners Michael Green and Bryan Fuller were fired and a new showrunner Jesse Alexander was brought in. Then, Alexander was fired and Gillian Anderson and Kristen Chenoweth jumped ship. Since then Kayhun Kim has come on board to replace Anderson. So that's something.

Here's the synopsis for season 2:

When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew. Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life. Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday’s bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the center of a world that he struggles to understand. It’s a world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America and reclaim some of the influence that they’ve lost. As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality and his place in it.

Cast returning for Season 2 are Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney, Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis, Bruce Langley as Technical Boy, Crispin Glover as Mr. World, Cloris Leachman as Zorya Vechernyaya, Peter Stormare as Czernobog, Mousa Kraish as The Jinn, Omid Abtahi as Salim, Chris Obi as Anubis, and Demore Barnes as Mr. Ibis. On top of that, we know that this new season will see the additions of actors such as Dean Winters as Mr. Town, Devery Jacobs as Sam Black Crow, Sakina Jaffrey, and Kayhun Kim will replace Gillian Anderson.

AMERICAN GODS season 2 debuts on Starz March 10, 2019.
