Bates Motel to premiere its final season this February

Bates Motel has certainly left us with a lot of questions. What will happen to Norman (Freddie Highmore) and Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) as the fifth and final season converges with the timeline of PSYCHO? How closely will they hew to the original story? Why the hell was Rihanna cast as Marion Crane?

Well, this Winter, A&E will begin to answer those questions one by one, as the fifth season will officially premiere on  Monday, February 20th at 10PM ET. It will definitely be interesting to see how the show finally pays homage to one of the biggest horror pictures of all time!

The cast of the final season also includes Max Thieriot, Isabelle McNally, Brooke Smith, and Nestor Carbonell.

This contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film Psycho gives viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates’ psyche unravels through his teenage years. “Bates Motel” gives fans access to the dark, twisted backstory of Norman Bates and how deeply intricate his relationship with his mother, Norma, truly is.
