It was only yesterday when we learned that Daren Kagasoff had signed on for the Jason Blum-produced horror flick OUIJA. And now we've got even more casting news to throw your way as THR reports, Olivia Cooke (pictured), one of the stars of A&E’s "Bates Motel", will star in OUIJA, Universal's horror movie based on the Hasbro board game.
Cooke will play a girl who discovers that her dead friend had been messing around with a Ouija board and brings the game home. Douglas Smith, the male lead, is the dead girl's boyfriend, who may know more about her death than he lets on. Only in a horror movie would anyone think that it's a good idea to go around messing with their dead friend's Ouiji board. But hey, they make stupid decisions all for the sake of our entertainment, so keep doing what you're doing!
The script by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White centers on…
a group of friends attempting to make contact with a recently deceased classmate through a Ouija board who awaken a dark and terrifying presence.
Filming begins next week in and around Los Angeles, with Stiles White in the director's chair.
