One of the breakout TV hits of last year was the first season of the dramedy BARRY on HBO starring Bill Hader and Henry Winkler. Now the show has raked in some serious awards, including Emmys for the two stars, so now you can bet all eyes are on season two. If you were curious about when we could see the continuation of Hader’s assassin-turned-acting-student, then catch the new trailer for season two which teases a Spring release date.

Picking up where season one left off, with Barry still in acting classes (alongside Sarah Goldberg's Sally) while trying to juggle his life as a contract killer, the trailer shows him getting better at his stagecraft and working on some sort of personal, confessional piece. More than that, it tackles the theme of Barry trying to figure out if he’s a good person or not – being someone who’s passionate about a lot but has done some terrible things. Of course, leave it to the creepy, bald guy to confirm that, yes, Barry is indeed the most evil person ever.
The first season was about as excellent as everyone says, and is yet another winner for HBO, a network which seems to be pumping out nothing but winners. The Emmy wins for Hader and Winkler were very well-deserved, and it sucks they couldn’t repeat the triumphs as the Golden Globes. As you can probably tell, I’m excited for the second season of BARRY, and between that and the new season of GAME OF THRONES, this should be quite the Spring season on HBO.
